Guitar Album In 43 Days

How you can release a solo guitar album in 6 weeks

How you can release a solo guitar album in 6 weeks, too!

On 9 January 2025, I started seriously working on my new guitar album. 43 days later, it’s now available on Spotify and all other platforms. You can listen to it here:

I want to share with you 3 tips that can help you make it happen in a shorter time as well:

1. Set a meaningful deadline.

It’s very difficult to make significant progress without a meaningful deadline. I planned to finish it by 1 February, so my dad could listen to my album. Unfortunately, he passed away that day. Although I was delayed, I was still motivated to release it so I could dedicate it to him.

  • Is there an important day that can motivate you, such as an anniversary, a birthday, or a memorial day? Use it to speed up by having a healthy dose of positive pressure.

2. Make a realistic list.

I had many ideas, some almost finished and some much less. I decided on a reasonable number for the short timeframe – 10 tracks seemed doable. I also selected them according to a theme that can connect them: winter guitarscapes (the album’s name).

  • Can you collect 7-10 pieces you like and find something that connects them? It’s easier to select when you have a vision that can unite them.

3. Create a template.

My idea was to record every track with my sound, so I needed to ensure everything was ready to go in advance to avoid wasting precious time fiddling with and adjusting the settings of amps, effects, etc.

  • Can you simplify your process by presetting everything? Time spent on technical tasks can delay progress and affect your ability to play with emotion.

Of course, for all this to happen, you’d need enough good material you’re happy with and the knowledge to finish and record them in the best way. That’s exactly what I help guitarists with.

So if you want to create, finish and release beautiful music that will make you proud and leave a musical legacy behind – message me now to make it happen this year: https://m.me/udiglaser
